Embossed With Love Valentine's Day Card

by - Monday, February 04, 2013

I sat down yesterday and enjoyed some Sunday afternoon crafting. It was bliss. I love it when ideas come together well and work easily. For my craft time I used the Miss Nelly Collection papers by Kaisercraft as my inspiration, and I made a sweet and pretty valentine's day card.
I was quite impressed that I actually produced something despite a pounding headache. I was able to use up some ribbon and chipboard letters that I've had in my stash for a couple of years which was pretty great, too.
As for cardstock I used Kaisercard in Bubblegum. It's such a pretty pink. I cut my card at 29.9cm x 20.5cm, scored at 15.4cm. The floral paper is of course the 'Her Eyes' in the Miss Nelly Collection. The size of this piece is 19.9cm x 14.5cm.
For the last piece of paper used, I chose to emboss it to give the card more detail while still keeping it simple. I cut this piece at 17.2cm x 11.7cm. I used a flower lattice embossing folder by Sizzix and rolled it through my Cuttlebug machine.
To finish off I used some pink heart ribbon from a Celebrate spool, paired with Amercian Crafts thickers and self adhesive red rhinestones.
