Australia Day Cards

by - Tuesday, January 22, 2013

My blogging OCD wanted this post up yesterday but Blogger wouldn't upload images. Apparently it feels as crap as I do. Anyway, I'm back!

I took a bit of a blogging break to focus on crafting and getting stuff sorted and organised, but I'm back with some Australia day cards to share.

Yes, I'm getting all patriotic.

Australia day isn't a special day on a crafter's calender but I thought it would be cool to make some cards just for the heck of it. I had a few bits of scraps that I wanted to use up and thought it the perfect crafting opportunity. I had so much fun making them.

They make for a cute card or postcard to send to friends overseas, don't you think?

For these cards I cut my cardstock at 21.9cm x 15.6cm, scored at 11.9cm (approximately).
Materials used: adhesive foam squares, red & white twine, Bella Paper Stack- Australiana.
Materials used: Bella Paper Stack- Australiana, medium & small sized red flowers, white self adhesive pearl.
Materials used: Bella Paper Stack- Australiana, adhesive foam squares, red ribbon.
Materials used: Bella Paper Stack- Australiana, blue ribbon, adhesive foam squares, red self adhesive rhinestones.
Materials used: Bella Paper Stack- Australiana, 3D star embellishments, adhesive foam squares, red glitter paper.
Materials used: Bella Paper Stack- Australiana, adhesive foam squares.

These cards were ridiculously simple to make. They were inspired by the cardmaking class I attended last year at the Craft & Quilt Fair. They only took a few minutes to make and really are the perfect brain fog friendly cards.
