Favourite Songs Of 2011

by - Wednesday, January 25, 2012

I've been in a stinky poo negative mood these last few days. I've been feeling very frustrated and I'm freaking out about what the heck I'm going to do this year. I can't just not do anything again and let my young adulthood go down the toilet kind of thing.

And then I go get myself all upset and worked into a state. I know, so silly. I just find it so hard having no control over whether I will have a good day or not.

The unpredictability is overwhelming. Emotionally I'm up, down and all over the place. Some stability would be nice so that I could actually manage a bit of work or maybe even study.

Music never fails to cheer me up. When I'm feeling like I am now, music gets me through it.

Chucking on a Lady Gaga cd after a bad day and blaring Just dance, gonna be okay, d-d-d-dance, dance, dance, just, j-j-just dance and I'm gonna Marry the Night, I won't give up on my life, I'm a warrior queen live passionately tonight- makes me feel a little better.

So in an effort to get me out of this black hole, I'm going through my favourite songs of 2011 for your enjoyment. Yes, this is the post where you can marvel at my awful amazing taste in music.

Feeling down like me? Then turn the volume up and get your dancing freak on. You know you want to....

Avril Lavigne- Smile.

How can you not smile when blaring this song? Maybe some green hair and eyeshadow will get me out of this funk.

Jessie J- Price Tag.

I just love this acoustic version.

Adele- Someone Like You.

Love a good heartbroken ballad. It helps to get all the sadness out.

Hot Chelle Rae- Tonight Tonight.

I don't know if I'll make it but watch how good I'll fake it...

Jason Derulo- Don't Wanna Go Home.

Love me some Jason Derulo. Or should I say Jaasonnn Derulooo.

Adam Lambert- Better Than I Know Myself.

I am hanging out for the music video. I'm seething with jealousy that he looks better in eye makeup than I do.

Kelly Clarkson- Mr Know It All.

I don't think there is a song of hers that I don't like.

Adele- Turning Tables.

Is it wrong that I like Gwyneth Paltrow's version better?

Lady Gaga- Born This Way.

She never fails to amuse me.

Jessie J- Nobody's Perfect.

I've blasted this song in the car quite a few times.

Demi Lovato- Skyscraper.

You can take everything I have, you can break everything I am, like I'm made of glass, like I'm made of paper, go on and try to tear me down, I will be rising from the ground like a skyscraper...

Jason Derulo- It Girl.

Romantic much?

Kelly Clarkson- Stronger.

The dancing in this clip just makes me happy.

Lady Gaga- Judas.

I shouldn't like this song, purely because of religious context, but I do. I just can't help it {hangs head in shame}. The dancing in this is amazing. Watching this performance always cheers me up.

Jessie J- Who's Laughing Now.

Another good one to turn up loud.

Andy Grammer- Keep Your Head Up.

I don't know why I like this song, just do. Maybe it's because he's so unbelievably gorgeous.

Marvin Priest- Own This Club.

I blast this in the car. A lot.

Taio Cruz- Hangover

I live in a constant hangover state. I wish drinking caused it though.

Nicole Scherzinger- Don't Hold Your Breath.

Another one I like to turn up really loud.

One Direction- What Makes You Beautiful.

They wrote this song about me. True story. {wink}

Lady Gaga- Marry The Night.

I will never tire of this song. I feel like throwing cereal right now too.

Hot Chelle Rae- I Like It Like That.

The perfect song to blast in the car.

Timomatic- Set It Off.

Still one of my favourite songs ever. Oh those moves.
