Are You On Facebook? Come Join The Party!!
Earlier this year I read an awesome article about turning your facebook page into a party. It suggested several ideas of how to get the most out of it while making it a fun place to "hang out". It got me thinking... how can I make my page more interesting and engaging? How can I be more present?
I've been using the page just for blog articles and post updates but I want to change this. I want it to be a celebration of all things creative. While I'm not one to post status updates regularly, I figure I should be more present on my page if I want to improve it. But I also don't want to be one of those pages that spam you every five minutes either.
So after brain storming, I've come up with a plan! Here's how it's gonna go down:
To make room for more important posts on this blog the Words of Wisdom Wednesday and the Friday Funnies posts are moving to facebook! I'll also post links to any articles I find a great read and any craft projects that inspire me.
The article also suggested having a fan of the month. I happen to think this is a totally cool idea. So when I've got my craft studio all sorted we will have a fan liker of the month. So if you would like to receive a small surprise in the mail handmade by me keep an eye out on the facebook page.
And you want to know what else I've been thinking?
Birthdays!
Yep. We should totally celebrate birthdays together. Wouldn't that be fun? I would love to be able to send out cards but that would get expensive (you know I would if I could). I wish money grew on trees. But I can give you a special birthday shout out.
So, would you like to join the birthday list? All you have to do is shoot me an email with your facebook name, birthday month, date and your favourite colour (you'll see why). Or you can just post it directly on the page and I'll add you to the list.
