photo proof of a good week

by - Sunday, September 09, 2012

Okay, so there are such a thing as good days. Sometimes they seem few and far between, but I have been blessed with a few over the last week and a half. They are golden, and I have the photos to prove it!

I have achieved quite a lot. My explosive tantrum the other night after work (due to feeling so rotten) would suggest otherwise, but it seems I am coping a tad better, and am able to push through more despite feeling bad and dealing with post exertional malaise from working. I've spent less time crying in a corner of my craft studio, too. I know a few readers have been praying for me, and I have truly needed that prayer lately, so thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The Friday before last, I forced myself to go grocery shopping to get ingredients for some things I wanted to make, and last weekend I whipped up an icebox snickers cake with layers of caramel, peanut butter, and chocolate ganache for Papa Bear to celebrate Father's Day.

Then I managed to get the wallpaper sorted for my craft studio (I can't believe Papa Bear agreed to pink, I didn't even have to plead!). I also got some lilac sample ones to try out for my bedroom (I'm thinking feature wall, and wardrobe). Yep, stuff actually got done.

Then this week I made a couple of soups for lunch- vegetable soup and carrot soup. They were most delicious. The best part is that I have frozen a whole heap, so I can have a healthy lunch even on those dreaded 2-minute noodle kind of days. I'll thank myself for it later.

I also finished off a funky blue french manicure. This is my first manicure that features spangles! I think I likey.

It's weeks like these that give me hope on days like today when the Fibromyalgia pain burns and the joint pain just doesn't let up, and you just want to soak in a hot tub all day and cry.

Have you had some good days this week? What did you get up to? x
